An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale hit the wider Zadar area in Croatia on Sunday and was felt in Bosnia as well, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

Residents of the Bosnian town of Bihac reported they also felt the quake which had its epicentre 60 kilometres southwest of the town and 11 kilometres from Posedarje in Croatia.
