Sarajevo Canton's government did not survive a no-confidence vote after Marijo Nenadic resigned as Prime Minister and 22 MPs voted in favor of the dismissal of the incumbent government.

Thus the Democratic Action Party (SDA) led government which also consisted of ministers from the Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) and Democratic Front (DF) was dismissed by the opposition “Four” – Our Party (NS), Independent Bosnian and Herzegovinian List (NBL), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the People and Justice Party (NiP) just days after the opposition won the absolute majority in the capital on recently held local elections.

The new Assembly Speaker will be Elvedin Okeric (NiP).

The request to convene a no-confidence session was submitted on October 9, when MPs from the ‘Four’ submitted their request to initiate a no-confidence motion containing 18 signatures.

The “Four” said that the new government will not have any ministers from the main Bosniak party, SDA, nor from their coalition partners the SBB and DF.
