British Ambassador Matthew Field signed an agreement on his Government’s support for the project “Truth Dialogue, Future” in Srebrenica, while visiting the genocide Memorial Centre on Thursday.

During his stay in this east-Bosnian town, he met with Memorial Centre CEO Emir Suljagic and head of the Centre’s management board Sevket Hafizovic with whom he signed the said agreement consisting of a number of investigative activities and strengthening of the Centre’s capacities.

Field expressed his satisfaction that the British Government sees an important partner in the Srebrenica Memorial Centre and that the planned activities will ensure an important step forward for this institution in the future, Srebrenica Memorial Centre said.

Additional investment in the Memorial’s Archive, preparation of exhibition spaces, international exchanges, education, strengthening of the role of women in memorialization, and the launch of several networks and partnerships at the international level are planned.
