Sarajevo General Hospital gets a new Covid ward (PHOTO)

The reconstruction of the old Garrison infirmary on the grounds of the General Hospital (former Military Hospital) was financed by the Sarajevo Canton government and donations from the Kingdom of Norway and the UN Development Programme (UNDP).

“The ward's capacity os 44 beds and it was equipped with the most modern medical and other equipment, respecting all the world standards, which in the time of the global pandemic represents a great relief for patients, but also for the medical staff," said the Hospital statement.

The opening of the Covid ward is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:30.
