Politics in Bosnia does not allow people to show sympathy or get united and will do everything to cause self-destruction and hatred, said economy expert and activist Svetlana Cenic, adding that this is the only way for politics to survive. Pročitaj više

Speaking in N1's Pressing talk show, Cenic criticised the authorities for their poor response to the coronavirus epidemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, mostly in the part referring to the procurement of vaccines against Covid-19.

She recalled of various contradictory arguments regarding this process, such as that the state-level and not entity-level authorities were the only ones in charge of the vaccine procurement or that this would require political agreement on election law changes, which proved to be untrue.

“What does the law have to do with the (vaccine) procurement. They got vaccinated, they don't care about people,” she stressed, referring to the fact that a part of officials and politicians in Bosnia and Herzegovina own citizenships of neighbouring Serbia and Croatia, so they used their right to get the Covid-19 vaccine in those countries.

Cenic was also critical of the citizens not obeying anti-epidemic measures, mentioning a video of a party in a crowded night club that has recently gone viral on social networks, which she called “suicidal.”

“If they wanted to send a message, they could jump from the 12th floor, because that was a suicidal intention,” she said.
