Aegean Airlines reintroducing Athens-Sarajevo route after five years

The Greek airline maintained nonstop operations between the two cities in 2019, but the route was discontinued prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

Last year, the airline introduced Athens - Skopje - Sarajevo flights with fifth freedom rights between Skopje and Sarajevo. Ex-Yu Aviation News reports, however, that the service is not convenient for inbound passengers from Sarajevo heading to Athens with an over six-hour wait in Skopje. The route will continue during the summer as well, with the transfer time in Skopje reduced to three hours on the outbound sector.
