Bosnia’s Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic and the State Ministry for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Reem Al Hashimi signed a visa abolition agreement.

The Foreign Ministry announced on its Twitter account that this historic event paves the way for improved mutual understanding, development of tourism, cultural exchange and economic cooperation between the two countries.

“We look forward to a future filled with mutual prosperity and friendship. The agreement enters into force 30 days after signing,” the post on the social network said.

“I signed an agreement on the cancellation of visas for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the State Ministry for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Reem Al Hashimi. The agreement enters into force 30 days after the date of signing. From December 7, we can travel to this beautiful country without administrative procedures,” Konakovic said.

UAE citizens are exempt from the obligation to obtain visas for travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina by the decision of the Council of Ministers dated January 19, 2015.
