All suspects arrested in FUP operation are charged with high corruption in FBiH Highways company

Bosnia’s Federation entity Police Administration (FUP) announced that as part of Tuesday's large operation "Landfill", all suspects accused of high corruption in the company FBiH Highways have been arrested.

“Police officers of the Federation Police Administration under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Zenica-Doboj Canton are carrying out an operation called ‘Landfill’ due to the suspicion of the commission of criminal offences: ‘Association to commit criminal offences’; ‘Abuse of office or authority’; ‘Giving away and unauthorized acquisition of business secrets’; ‘Money laundering’ and ‘Helping'”, FUP stated, publish the initials of those arrested:

“According to the order of the Cantonal Court in Zenica, searches were carried out at nine locations in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Sarajevo Canton and the Posavina Canton, during which persons with the initials E.V. (1965) from Sarajevo, M.N. (1989) from Zepce, B.Z. (1988) from Odzak, R.K. (1973) from Sarajevo and M.M. (1975) from Sarajevo were arrested on suspicion of committing corrupt criminal acts during the construction of a highway section”, they added.

N1 wrote earlier, that the main target was the former director of the FBiH Highways Elmedin Voloder, who was arrested together with his associates Marijan Nikolic from Zepce, Boris Zekic from Orasje, Reuf Kadric, an employee of the FBiH Highways, and Mustafa Musabegovic, a private citizen from Sarajevo.

Police officers searched the residences of each of the suspects.

The FUP stated that the arrested persons would be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Zenica-Doboj Canton after criminal processing at FUP premises.
