Renowned Ukrainian football manager, Andriy Mykolayovych Shevchenko, strongly condemned the decision of Bosnia’s Football Association to agree to a match against Russia's team, saying “it is a mistake to play a friendly game with a nation that is the aggressor."

The national football teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia are set to play a friendly match in November after the Bosnian Football Association accepted the offer from Russia's football authority.

“The Ukrainian Federation and myself have already made a statement regarding this game. I’m happy for you to reiterate this: Every day in Ukraine, people and children are dying from the war. It is a mistake to play a friendly game with a nation that is the aggressor,” Shevchenko told N1.

The decision to play against Russia, which was made by the Football Association's emergency committee last Friday, sparked outrage among many Bosnians, including sports figures and politicians.
