Another 25,000 doses of the first component of the Sputnik V vaccine arrived in Banja Luka, the administrative centre of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, on Saturday.

RS Health Minister Alen Seranic pointed out that this is another delivery of vaccines from the Russian manufacturer as part of the realization of the contract that the RS Public Health Institute signed with the Krajinagroup.

“Given that there are certain doubts regarding the vaccination with this vaccine, I must emphasize that the manufacturer had personally changed his instructions on revaccination a month ago. He informed all the countries that have this vaccine about it. Specifically, they informed us that the revaccination with the second component of the vaccine can be done in the period from 21 to 90 days after vaccination with the first component. That is why the population has no reason to worry,” said Seranic.

Previously, a total of 99,300 doses of the first and second component of the Sputnik V vaccine arrived in Republika Srpska, the RS Ministry of Health said.
