The Anti-corruption and Quality Control Office of the Sarajevo Canton (KS) initiated the process of determining whether there is a conflict of interest in regard to the head of the Sarajevo University Clinical Center, Sebija Izetbegovic, also serving as a member of the KS Assembly.

The process is being initiated based on the Law on Prevention and Suppression of Corruption in the KS, which entered into force on January 1.

“Since this morning, the office has been conducting activities to determine conflicts of interest among a certain number of public office holders in the KS, all in accordance with the start of the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Suppression of Corruption in the KS. Professor Izetbegovic is one of the persons,” the head of the KS Anticorruption Office, Erduan Kafedzic, told N1.
Sebija Izetbegovic was elected to the KS Assembly as a representative of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA). She is the wife of SDA leader, Bakir Izetbegovic.
