A dramatic incident unfolded in Zenica police station when a man, wanted on an outstanding warrant, brandished a grenade and then fled the scene. Eventually, police officers apprehended him and transported him to Zenica Correctional Facility to serve his prison sentence.

“The individual, identified as D.H., threatened to detonate a bomb. He left the police station shortly after. Immediately, all police units, including the special unit, were activated. The individual was ultimately located and detained,” said Samir Valentic, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (MUP ZDK).

The arrested individual has been transferred to KPZ Zenica to serve his prison sentence for a previously committed criminal offense. Meanwhile, police officers and the relevant prosecutor's office will take all necessary legal actions to process the latest incident.
