More than 10 thousand spectators watched the spectacular cliff diving event in the southern city of Mostar on Saturday, with elite participants competing for title within the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series.
The best dive among women was performed by Australian Rhiannan Iffland, which was her 26th win in the competition and third in Mostar only. The second was Canadian Molly Carson, followed by another Canadian Jessica Macaulay.
Among men the best competitor was Romanian Constantin Popovici, followed by another Romanian Catalin Preda and French Gary Hunt.
According to organisers, between 10 and 12 thousand people followed the event and in over the past three days during the qualification some 20 thousand people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and the world passed under the Old Bridge to witness the spectacle.
“The series’ seventh visit to this UNESCO World Heritage Site marks the start of the second half of the season and the cliff diving elite will compete from a new platform design inspired by local building tradition,” the organisers said prior to the event.
