Employees in the information and communications sector had the highest average net salaries of 1,844 (some € 944) in May, while in production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 1,824 marks (nearly € 920), and in financial and insurance activities 1,797 (some €918) according to data from the BiH Statistics Agency.

Employees in construction had the lowest average net earnings, 942 (around € 481), and employees in accommodation services, food preparation and catering, 835 marks (or some €426).

The average monthly gross salary in BiH amounted to 1,967 marks (nearly € 1,005), which shows a nominal growth of 2.9 percent and is 3.1 percent higher in real terms compared to April of this year.
