Average net salary in Federation of BiH falls to 1,643 Bosnian marks in February 2026

This figure marks a nominal decrease of 1.7 per cent and a real decrease of 2.0 percent compared to the previous month. However, a year-on-year analysis shows that the average net salary has risen significantly, with a nominal increase of 7.7 percent and a real increase of 4.5 percent compared to February 2025.

Similarly, the average monthly gross salary for February 2026 was recorded at 2,570 marks (approximately € 1,314). This represents a month-on-month nominal decline of 1.7 percent and a real decline of 2.0 percent. On an annual basis, the gross salary saw a nominal rise of 8.0 percent and a real improvement of 4.7 percent.

Regarding employment figures, the total number of persons employed in the Federation of BiH reached 542,073 in February 2026. According to the official statistical report, the workforce size remained stable, showing no change compared to the previous month.
