Banja Luka citizens gathered at Trg Krajine to hold a 15-minute silent tribute for the victims of the Novi Sad tragedy, on Sunday, where a train station canopy collapse claiming 15 lives.
For the third consecutive week, around 30 residents and activists observed the moment of silence, starting at 11:52 am—the exact time of the November 1 incident.
Lawyer Aleksandar Jokic read out the names of the victims during the tribute.
“For the third week in a row, we’ve gathered to pay respects and extend condolences to the victims in Novi Sad, without any political context or performances,” Jokic said.
The tragedy occurred on November 1 at the Novi Sad train station, where 14 people were killed immediately when the canopy collapsed. One additional victim succumbed to injuries later.
