Becirovic highlighted the United Kingdom as one of Bosnia's premier security and defence partners, pointing to its continuous contributions to military reform, personnel training, and modernization. Achieving full NATO and European Union membership remains Bosnia’s primary strategic objective. Becirovic emphasized that the country currently holds the most advanced partnership with NATO of any non-member state and has made significant strides toward accession.

Key milestones include the adoption of six Reform Programmes and the Individual Tailored Partnership Programme for 2025–2028, alongside increased interoperability. Notably, Bosnian armed forces participated in 261 NATO-led activities between 2023 and 2026 and received their first invitation to contribute to the NATO Response Force.

The Presidency Chair expressed gratitude for British funding of crucial infrastructure projects, such as the renovation of Rajlovac Barracks, as well as joint educational initiatives. He voiced interest in expanding this cooperation to target cybersecurity, military modernization, and countering hybrid threats and disinformation.

Lord Coaker reaffirmed the United Kingdom's firm commitment to sustaining strong defence and security ties with BiH. He emphasized that stable, functional institutions and a strengthened military are vital to maintaining peace and stability throughout the Western Balkans.
