Ahead of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s upcoming visit, Becirovic stressed the need for concrete progress on key EU priorities. He also underlined that EU and NATO membership remain the best guarantees for Bosnia’s security and stability, warning that any referendum in Republika Srpska would undermine state institutions and destabilise the country.
Soreca reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to supporting reforms with financial and technical assistance. If approved by the Commission and member states, Bosnia could access €976.6 million under the Growth Plan, conditional on implementing reforms.
The talks focused on priority areas, including green and digital transition, private sector development, human capital, and rule of law.
