Becirovic meets new UN Resident Coordinator, reaffirms Bosnia's commitment to multilateralism

Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Denis Becirovic met with the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator to BiH, Arnhild Spence, during her inaugural visit to the country.

Becirovic congratulated Spence on her appointment and wished her success in her new role, underscoring that cooperation with the United Nations and a firm commitment to multilateralism remain key priorities of Bosnia’s foreign policy.
He emphasised that the country greatly values the UN’s longstanding contribution to its reform processes, institutional strengthening, promotion of human rights, social inclusion, and sustainable development.
The Presidency member also reaffirmed that BiH will continue its active partnership with the UN in pursuing the goals outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with particular attention to peace, justice, equality, and dignity for all citizens.
