BiH Presidency member Denis Becirovic thanked the special envoy of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, for visiting, pointing out that it is one of the many proofs of the attention and interest that Germany shows towards Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In particular, he emphasized the continuous assistance and commitment of the FR of Germany on Bosnia's European path, as well as the support in obtaining the candidate status for EU membership.

Becirovic said that the candidate status is an incentive to continue with the necessary reforms and fulfil obligations on the way to full EU membership.

The Special Envoy of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, said that the goal of his visit to BiH is to obtain information on how the Federal Republic of Germany can specifically help Bosnia in fulfilling its obligations in the continuation of the European path, after receiving the candidate status.

After obtaining the candidate status, he believes BiH must adopt concrete legal regulations and decisions on its further integration process.
