US Department of Defence Deputy Assistant Secretary Laura Cooper met virtually with Bosnia’s Defence Minister, Sifet Podzic, on Monday to discuss the importance of the BiH Armed Forces and its contributions to global security, implementation of NATO partnership goals, defence reform, and the ‘Defender Europe’ exercise series.
According to the BiH Defence Ministry, Bosnia’s Ambassador in the US, Bojan Vujic, also attended the meeting.

Minister Podzic thanked Cooper and her associates for the support and interest that she, her team, as well as the US show and provide to his ministry and Bosnia’s Armed Forces.
He pointed out that the US is Bosnia’s most important strategic partner and that their interest in Bosnia’s ‘Reform Programme’ is extremely important, as evidenced by the exercise "Immediate Response 21" joint military exercise between the armies of the US and BiH.
