Bosnia’s Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic met in Vienna with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz and Minister Alexander Schallenberg on Monday, where they discussed the announced delivery of a million vaccines to the Western Balkans.
“It has been confirmed to me that Austria has already launched the activities, and we expect the details soon. Austria’s role in the delivery of vaccines, especially the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine, was crucial for BiH. I told the Chancellor that we are grateful that this cooperation continues because the fight against the pandemic continues. We will be in continuous contact regarding the implementation of this decision,” Turkovic said.
She added that Austria unequivocally supports BiH's progress towards the EU.
“It is vital to return the focus to the region's EU integration and reforms,” Turkovic concluded.
