BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic met in New York with the Under Secretary of the United Nations for Political Affairs, Rosemary di Carlo, on Thursday.

They stated that BiH has made significant progress towards building a stable peace, but that it is necessary to continue the reform process by strengthening institutions and integration factors.

In particular, the two talked of ways to give young people in BiH and the region a chance to build a better future. In that sense, the possibilities of strengthening cooperation and using certain United Nations funds were considered.

During the meeting with the US diplomat, who was also the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, the two concluded that it is still extremely important to keep the Western Balkans high on the agenda, in order to encourage processes leading to sustainable stability and membership in the Euro-Atlantic institutions.
