BiH GDP rises 7.2% in nominal terms, its GDP per capita reaches €8,000 in 2024

The country’s total gross domestic product (GDP) for 2024 amounted to approximately €26.5 billion, representing a nominal increase of 7.2% compared to 2023. Real GDP growth stood at 3%.

Despite the growth, Bosnia and Herzegovina remains near the bottom of the European rankings in terms of nominal GDP per capita, currently fifth-lowest among European countries.

In comparison, the average GDP per capita across Europe stands at €34,500.

At the top of the list are Luxembourg with €130,000, followed by Ireland with €100,500 and Switzerland with €96,500.
