The Bosnia and Herzegovina mathematicians team made a historic success at the 63rd International Mathematical Olympiad in Oslo, winning three silver and two bronze medals and one honourable mention.
Silver was won by Benjamin Mujkic, Jovan Vukovic and Boris Stankovic, bronze by Marko Dimitric and Haris Imamovic, and an honourable mention by Emira Ibrahimovic.
Bosnian Mathematicians broke many records this year. They never won more than one silver medal in any year. In the past 29 participations, a total of six silver medals have been won, and this year as many as three. The record of 103 points from 2018 was broken, and a new one of 154 points was set. Bosnia and Herzegovina won 36th place in the competition out of 104 countries, which is the best ranking in the last 20 years.
