Head coach Sergej Barbarez is expected to gradually complete the squad over the coming days, as several players are still finishing club commitments. However, the first group of national team players has already arrived in the Bosnian capital for the opening phase of preparations.

Among the players already in Sarajevo are Nikola Vasilj, Osman Hadzikic, Ivan Basićc, Dzenis Burnic, Esmir Bajraktarevic, Nikola Katic, Benjamin Tahirovic and Ermin Mahmic.

The arrival of highly rated young midfielder Kerim Alajbegovic also drew significant attention, while more regular first-team players are expected in the coming days, including captain Edin Dzeko and other internationals who have completed their club seasons.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will play a friendly match against North Macedonia national football team on May 29 at Kosevo Stadium in Sarajevo before traveling to the United States for the next stage of preparations.

Midfielder Amir Hadziahmetovic is set to join the squad early next week, as he still has a crucial promotion playoff final with Hull City A.F.C. in the fight for a place in the Premier League.
