Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested four Afghans accused of kidnapping three citizens of Iran and Switzerland and imprisoning and torturing them in an apartment in Sarajevo. Pročitaj više

The suspects demanded € 18,000 for their release, which was paid to them from abroad, after which the abductees were released. One of the arrested Afghans is also linked to the murder committed on December 21, 2023. in the Lipa Immigration Center in Bihac.

“This organized group of kidnappers tortured and physically abused the abducted individuals, in which case they inflicted physical injuries on them, and one person ended up in hospital,” SIPA stated.

The suspects were taken to official premises where criminal processing was carried out. During the process, cooperation was achieved with the police bodies of the Republic of Serbia and Switzerland, as well as Europol and Interpol of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SIPA added.
