BiH Presidency Chair Zeljka Cvijanovic met in Zagreb with the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic who said that it is time to open a new chapter in relations between the two countries.
“Relations with the BiH Presidency in the previous mandate, as far as I'm concerned, were not good. Now is the time to open a new chapter, which is BiH as we see it, as I see it, as a subject of international law based on Dayton [Peace Agreement]. It is the foundation of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Milanovic said.
He added that they discussed peace and stability in the region, Bosnia’s European path, and the position of Croats in BiH.
Cvijanovic added that it was a constructive meeting with the aim of achieving common goals – peace and stability in the region, as well as mutual understanding and preservation of the Dayton framework.
Milanovic once again repeated the old mantra that Bosnia’s Croat Presidency member “Zeljko Komsic is not a Croat representative” and he called the third Presidency member, Denis Becirovic, “his old acquaintance,” adding that they keep in touch.
“We agreed that after Cvijanovic's visit, Becirovic is also welcome, but unfortunately, other formats are out of the question,” said Milanovic.
