BiH Presidency Chairman Zeljko Komsic met on Wednesday with the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, at the seat of the Government of Spain in Madrid.

The meeting, held during Komsic's high-level state visit to Spain, discussed strengthening relations between Bosnia and the Kingdom of Spain, and Prime Minister Sanchez expressed a special desire for Spain to become more involved in helping BiH join the EU and NATO.

In that sense, Prime Minister Sanchez noted that Spain will use its contacts to help Bosnia and requested that contact with President Komsic be maintained on a regular basis so that they could know first-hand the real situation in BiH. Prime Minister Sanchez also accepted Komsic's invitation to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming period.

Chairman Komsic briefed Prime Minister Sanchez on the latest developments in BiH, thanked him for the assistance provided by Spain so far and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Sanchez for respecting and adhering to the priorities of the European Commission in Bosnia and Herzegovina's EU progress.

Komsic and Sanchez also discussed improving economic relations and tourism cooperation as well.
