BiH Presidency extends condolences to President Erdogan following tragic school attacks

The members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Becirovic, Zeljko Komsic, and Zeljka Cvijanovic, sent formal telegrams of condolence to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The messages offer sympathies to the Turkish people following a series of harrowing attacks over the last 48 hours which resulted in the loss of several young lives.

Chairman Denis Becirovic remarked that the gravity of the incidents has resonated far beyond Turkey’s borders, affecting the wider international community.

"On behalf of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and myself, I offer my profoundest condolences and wish those injured a rapid recovery. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families," Becirovic stated.

Presidency member Zeljko Komsic expressed his profound sorrow upon learning of the brutal assault on a secondary school. He noted that the death of children and young people under such catastrophic circumstances is a tragedy beyond description, affirming that Bosnia and Herzegovina stands in sincere solidarity with Turkey.

Presidency member Zeljka Cvijanovic also expressed her shock regarding the violence reported in educational institutions within Kahramanmaras and the Siverek district.

She emphasised that the loss of students represents an irreparable blow to society as a whole, extending her deepest sympathies to the victims' families and wishing a swift recovery to those wounded in the attacks.
