BiH prosecutors have filed an indictment against two persons accused of involvent in election fraud.
The BiH Prosecutor’s Office believes that Halilovic Suvada and Vakufac Emira have, as head and member of the local election committee at a polling station in the Novi Grad municipality, acted contrary to the Election Law and procedures for conducting the October 2 General election. The two allegedly filled in 400 ballots without authorization on the evening of October 1.
Of the stated number, 100 ballots were illegally filled for the election of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, another 100 ballots for the House of Representatives election and another for the National Assembly of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity. Furthermore, 100 ballots for the election of the president and vice president of Republika Srpska were also illegally filled out and certified.
Prosecutros believe they did this so certain registered candidates achieve a more favourable election results.
The indictment was forwarded to the BiH Court which is expected to confirm it.
