A young Bosnian team gathered around the Center for Education of Robotics, Innovation and Technology in Mostar - CERIT is taking part this year in a kind of International Robotics Olympiad FGC2021 called Discover & Recover and currently ranks 1st out of 177 participating countries.
The First Global Challenge is a competition whose mission is to inspire young people of all nations in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and thus draw attention to the importance of this type of education.
This year's BiH national team are Lejla Nuhic, Anis Kazazic and Merjema Pajic who come from the Second Gymnasium Mostar, then Fatima Sidran from the High School Stolac, and Marko Masnic, Luka Jurkovic and Luka Dzalto who come from the High School Capljina, together with their mentors – prof. Anes Hadziomerovic, ing. Deni Ajanic, Armin Djidelija and Amila Cagalj.
“By participating in various online technical training and engagements on social networks, the BiH team currently occupies a leading position, which we are extremely proud of,” CERIT emphasized.
The team from BiH decided to create a system of smart irrigation, which is one of the tasks and they are in an alliance with the team from Kazakhstan, whose task is similar to theirs.
