The service will run Monday through Friday with morning and afternoon departures. The morning train will depart Bosanska Otoka at 6:10 am, arriving in Bosanska Krupa at 6:25 am, Cazin-Srbljani at 7:05 am, and Bihac at 7:20 am. In the afternoon, the train will depart Bihac at 4:20 pm, arriving in Cazin-Srbljani at 4:35 pm, Bosanska Krupa at 5:15 pm, and Bosanska Otoka at 5:30 pm.

The introduction of the service forms part of ongoing efforts to revitalise passenger rail transport in the Una-Sana Canton, supporting mobility for residents, pupils, students, and workers, while strengthening the area's economic and tourism potential. The project is being implemented with significant support and co-financing from the Una-Sana Canton Ministry of Economy, which has allocated an additional 250,000 Bosnian marks (approx. €127,823) for the purpose. Officials noted that the model of canton-level co-financing of sustainable and efficient local passenger rail services has already been successfully implemented in Sarajevo Canton for several years.

Namir Mahmutovic, director of the Passenger and freight transport sector, stated that establishing the regular Bihac-Bosanska Otoka service marks a key step toward restoring passenger rail transport in the Krajina, expressing particular satisfaction at securing stable transport for citizens in cooperation with the ministry. He also highlighted the success of the tourist train, which carried more than 15,000 passengers in a short period, demonstrating the significant potential of the Una Railway, and reaffirmed the goal to continue investing in infrastructure and rolling stock to provide modern, safe, and affordable rail transport.

Official passenger tariffs will apply to the service, with monthly passes available at favourable rates. For the full Bihac-Bosanska Otoka-Bihac route, the monthly pass costs 92.40 marks (approx. €47.24) for pupils and students and 168.80 marks (approx. €86.30) for workers. On the Bihac-Bosanska Krupa-Bihac route, monthly passes cost 76.80 marks (approx. €39.27) for pupils and students and 138 marks (approx. €70.56) for workers. For the shorter Bosanska Otoka-Bosanska Krupa round trip, the monthly pass costs 43.20 marks (approx. €22.09) for pupils and students and 72 marks (approx. €36.83) for workers.
