The Justice Minister in Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Anton Kasipovic, was questioned on Tuesday as part of an ongoing investigation into a possible “attack on the constitutional order” of BiH related to the activities of the RS to withdraw from a number of state institutions and form separate ones.

BiH prosecutors are trying to determine whether the controversial December 10 session of the RS National Assembly represents an attack on BiH’s constitutional order. At this session, MPs in the semi-autonomous entity expressed support for the initiative of BiH tripartite Presidency member, Milorad Dodik, to unilaterally roll back numerous post-war reforms which led to the establishment of a number of state institutions – including the army, tax authority and judicial institutions.

Kasipovic is among the many RS officials who were questioned regarding the matter.

“Together with other members of the RS Government and members of the majority, I am participating in this process and I think that my position on that is recognizable and clear,” said Kasipovic.

He also said that the RS Interior Minister, Dragan Lukac, is giving statements to BiH prosecutors.
