Bosnia’s Transport and Communications Minister Edin Forto and Italian Ambassador to BiH Marco Di Ruzza signed, on Tuesday, an Agreement between the BiH government and the Government of Italy on Mutual Recognition for the Purpose of Exchanging Driving Licenses.

After the signing which took place in Sarajevo, Forto said he was very grateful to Ambassador Di Ruzza and his Government for complying with BiH's request, which had been in the process for 16 years.

He expressed the hope that other European countries would follow Italy's example and improve cooperation in the same way.

Ambassador Di Ruzza stated that the agreement they signed is of great practical benefit to the citizens of both countries, who will now be able to easily exchange driving licenses.

He added that it is not just a technical instrument, but that it should be seen as a new bridge that further connects the two countries and their peoples.
