On Thursday, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina approved the allocation of international aid funds totalling 20,397,017 Bosnian marks (some €10 million), following the catastrophic floods that struck the country earlier this year.

The municipalities of Jablanica and the city of Konjic are set to receive the largest portions of the funds. Priority will be given to urgent interventions, including the repair of roads, bridges, and public utility infrastructure, as well as cleaning riverbeds and canals to prevent future disasters.

The largest donation, amounting to 19.558 million marks (some €10 million), came from Croatia, followed by contributions from the Embassy of Azerbaijan (391,000 marks – around €200,000) and the Government of Kosovo (390,000 – approx €200,000). Employees of BiH institutions raised 46,606 marks (some €22,000), while the Chinese Embassy contributed 10,000 Bosnian marks (some €5,000).
