Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazovic sent a letter to the High Representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt, on Thursday, regarding the deterioration of the security situation in the Republika Srpska (RS) entity.
As reported by the MINA agency, in the letter, Kavazović "expressed his dissatisfaction and concern for the frequent provocations and intimidation to which people of non-Serb ethnicity, especially Bosniaks, are exposed, and whose actors are not prosecuted or sanctioned."
He further stated that there was a drastically insufficient representation of the non-Serb population in the police and state institutions of that entity, calling on Schmidt to urgently address this issue.
