In the official address, published by the MINA news agency, the religious leader called for resilience, wisdom, and heightened communal responsibility during a period of widespread global tension.
The message read:
"Dear brothers and sisters, friends, respected neighbors and fellow citizens, The Day of Arafat, which precedes tomorrow’s great Eid celebration, is the best day and the best time to draw closer to the vastness of Allah’s mercy through worship.
During the days of Eid al-Adha, we once again return to the great truth of faith: the greatest values cannot be preserved without sacrifice and self-denial. From the example of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son Ismail (Ishmael), we have learned that through sacrifice and giving, we may hope for goodness that will return to us. Therefore, our lives must not be trapped by selfishness, indifference, or fear of uncertainty, but guided by gratitude, responsibility, and care for others.
This Eid also comes at a time that calls for composure, wisdom, and resilience. There is much suffering in the world, injustice, and calls for violence. There are many attempts to spread fear, division, and distrust among people. Therefore, let us remain faithful to ourselves and our faith.
Peace, vigilance, and patience are values upon which we have always built our identity and protected our homeland. Let us continue to nurture them with care. May our Eid joy strengthen our unity and trust in these days and deepen awareness among all of us in Bosnia and Herzegovina that peace, freedom, and dignity are a trust that must be safeguarded every day.
To all Muslim men and women in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Sandzak, in our home countries and across the Bosniak diaspora, I extend my congratulations on the upcoming days of Eid al-Adha. Celebrate it with joy and happiness, with dignity, as befits us.
Bajram Sherif Mubarak Olsun!"
