Bosnia participates meeting of International Criminal Court Bureau as member

BiH Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Almir Sahovic participated on January 17, at the meeting of the Bureau of the International Criminal Court (ICC), on behalf of Bosnia. Pročitaj više

This was the first time Bosnia participated as a member in a meeting of the ICC Bureau.

The Bureau of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute is the most important body of the ICC and consists of 21 countries elected for a three-year term.

“The election of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the ICC Bureau at the Assembly of Contracting Parties held in December in New York represents a recognition of the country for its consistent support for the work of the International Criminal Court, as well as the country's constant commitment to respect for international law and justice,” Bosnia’s Foreign Ministry said.

In the next three years, the ICC Bureau will consist of Finland, Sierra Leone, Poland, Bosnia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Cyprus, Ecuador, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Latvia, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Senegal, Slovenia, South Africa, Switzerland and Uganda.
