Zeljka Cvijanovic, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed a book of condolence at the Serbian General Consulate in Banja Luka, on Monday, expressing her sympathy for the recent tragedy in Novi Sad. Cvijanovic stated that she and the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina "sincerely mourn with Novi Sad and our brotherly Serbia."
“We genuinely mourn with Novi Sad and brotherly Serbia, deeply sympathizing with those who have lost their loved ones in the tragic accident at the Railway Station. Eternal remembrance to the deceased, and may their families find peace and solace.
I signed the book of condolence at the Serbian General Consulate today to honour those lost in the Novi Sad tragedy,” Cvijanovic wrote on Instagram.
Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity declared a Day of Mourning on Saturday following the tragedy on Friday, where 14 people lost their lives when a canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station collapsed.
