Bosnia's finance minister Vjekoslav Bevanda and head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's office in Sarajevo Manuela Naessl signed on Wednesday an agreement on three-million euro grant for modernisation of the Brcko Port.
The project was assessed as the priority of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The funds will be used for the reconstruction of road and railway infrastructure towrads the port as well as the infrastructure within this location.
Brcko Port in the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina was constructed in 1913 and rebuilt during the 1952-1962 period. It officially opened for traffic in 1953.
The modernization works started in 2021.
