The BiH team concluded their qualification campaign in second place in Group H, necessitating a route through the play-offs to secure a spot at the World Cup.
Wales having finished only two points behind Belgium in their Group J. The Welsh side will host the crucial semi-final encounter against the 'Dragons' on March 26 next year.
The draw also determined the potential final match-up. Should the 'Dragons' advance past Wales, they would play for the final ticket on March 31 against the winner of the tie between Italy and Northern Ireland.
The draw also decided that Bosnia would be the host of this potential final match, granting them a crucial home-ground advantage if they reach that stage.
