The Office for the Coordination of Bosniak Councils, during a session in Bihac, initiated the organization of an International Conference on Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity and International Law, which will gather the most relevant European and global scholars and researchers in the field.

The session was attended by representatives of the Bosniak National Council from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, North America, and representatives of the Bosniaks from the Kosovo community's consultative council.

During the session, which was also attended by the Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Kemal Ademovic, advisor to the member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Becirovic Mehmed Pargan, and Director of the Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law UNSA Muamer Dzananovic, it was decided that the Bosniak Cultural Alliance of Slovenia would be admitted into the Office for Coordination.

In this way, Bosniak councils from all the countries of the former Yugoslavia, as well as the Bosniak Congress of North America, will constitute the Office for the Coordination of Bosniak Councils in the upcoming period.

The session concluded to proceed with the establishment and registration of a main office of Bosniak councils headquartered in Sarajevo. The founding members would be Bosniak councils from the region, and the core objectives would be the protection and preservation of identity-specific features: language, culture, tradition, and the social position of Bosniaks in the region's countries.

The Office rejected the entire text of the recently adopted Declaration from the All-Serb Assembly held in Belgrade by representatives of Serbia, the entity of Republika Srpska, the Serbian Orthodox Church, and representatives of Serbian institutions and entities from Montenegro and North Macedonia.

Such a Declaration, as emphasized, is aimed against the stability of the entire Western Balkans region.

“The Office believes that the goal (of the Declaration) is not only the ‘disintegration’ of the smaller BiH entity but also the integration of Serbian territories into one state entity, through the disruption of existing state borders and relations in the region with its disintegration, which is contrary to the ongoing processes of democratization, cooperation, and Euro-Atlantic integrations,” stated the Office.

During visits and meetings in the Una-Sana Canton, public forums were held in Bihac and Cazin, and meetings were arranged with representatives of the USK Government and the University of Bihac.
