Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabukhov presented the Association of Yugoslav Liberation War Fighters (SABNOR) in BiH with a significant recognition, Saturday, awarded by the Russian "Victory" committee on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the victory over fascism. The recognition was personally signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The recognition specifically stresses the gratitude to the fighters of the People's Liberation Army from BiH for their contribution to the victory over fascism in the Second World War, and their contribution to promoting the ideas of anti-fascism and freedom in the later period and as well as their education of younger generations. After the award ceremony, interlocutors exchanged information, in an open and cordial conversation, regarding the position of the anti-fascist movement in today's BiH, but also expressed a mutual desire for stronger joint appearances in projects of mutual interest,” SABNOR's statement said.
Ambassador Kalabukhov was handed an invitation to mark the great battle of Sutjeska on June 12 and to attend the central ceremony on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the uprising of the people of BiH on July 27 in Drvar.
