Bosnian Court lifts custody orders for RS officials Stevandic and Viskovic

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has lifted the custody orders for Nenad Stevandic, President of Republika Srpska National Assembly (RSNA), and Radovan Viskovic, RS Prime Minister, after they were secretly questioned on Wednesday by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The information about the hearing was published just before it began at 12 PM on the official website of the Court of BiH, marking the first official acknowledgement of the session.
Stevandic and Viskovic are under indictment alongside RS President Milorad Dodik on charges of conspiring to undermine the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Despite multiple warnings, Stevandic publicly declared he would continue pushing for the adoption of unconstitutional laws. All three defendants: Dodik, Stevandic, and Viskovic, have openly rejected the authority of the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, stating they do not recognise these institutions.

Custody was initially ordered after the three men refused to respond to official summons from the Prosecutor’s Office and declared they would never voluntarily appear before the Court.
Viskovic’s earlier public statements, in which he refused legal cooperation, were widely circulated and can still be viewed online.
Milorad Dodik was previously questioned in complete secrecy, after which the Court also lifted his custody order.
The case marks one of the most serious legal confrontations between state judicial institutions and the Republika Srpska leadership since the end of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
