The verdict follows the court's acceptance of a plea agreement in which Bublin admitted that, during his tenure as a specialist officer managing criminal sanctions enforcement and records of temporarily seized items, he repeatedly misappropriated funds entrusted to him across multiple criminal cases.
According to a court statement, Bublin forged official documents on two separate occasions to cover up the thefts, inflicting financial loss on the Court of BiH and unlawfully appropriating a total of 196,729.59 Bosnian marks (approx. € 100,586).
Under the terms of the plea agreement, Bublin was mandated to reimburse the full sum of 196,726 marks (approx. € 100,584), which was confirmed in Court to have been paid back in full across 22 instalments.
The Court has extended Bublin’s detention, which has remained continuously in place since his initial arrest in April.
