Bosnian Defence Minister Sifet Podzic met with newly appointed military envoy of Ukraine Dmitriy Malik, expressing full understanding and solidarity for the hardships of war that the people of Ukraine are going through.
Podzic pointed out the lack of consensus within the leadership of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the war in Ukraine. However, he stressed the fact that the Bosnian officials joined the condemnation of the Russian aggression both at the UN General Assembly and the Council of Europe.
He also reminded that the Bosnian Defence Ministry has joined the Ukraine Defence Contact Group at the invitation of the US Defence Ministry.
Brigadier Malik and Podrzic expressed hope that circumstances for improved cooperation for the Bosnian and Ukrainian armed forces will be created soon.
Malik is a non-resident military envoy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, permanently stationed at the Ukrainian Embassy in Zagreb.
