The meeting of members of the Bosnia Presidency members and the leaders of the parliamentary ppolitical parties with European Council President Charles Michel and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has commenced.

According to the official photos published on the EU official websites, HDZ BiH leader Dragan Covic is not present in the meeting.

Previously, he said he does not plan to sign any document in Brussels if Democratic Front leader and Croat member of Bosnia's tripartite Presidency Zeljko Komsic attends the meeting, too. Also, SDS leader Mirko Sarovic was not present in the family photo published on the official EU website.

As announced, a document on key issues for Bosnia and Herzegovina that would pave the way on the country's EU path will be on the table. The host's idea, reprotedly, is to attempt to bring the country's European path into the focus of interest of domestic leaders.

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik departed this morning from Banja Luka to Brussels on a plane of the Government of the Republika Srpska, Bosnia's Serb-majority entity. Despite his invitation, the opposition leaders did not join him on the flight. Prior to the departure, Dodik said that he did not expect anything special from the meeting.

“I think that this is something that was gathered in rush, we still do not know the format of it or what is expected here. In essence, according to our system, if something passes, it will pass, if it doesn't, it won't,” Dodik told public broadcaster RTRS.

Many, however, missed the trip to Brussels. The reason for that is the format of the planned meeting, but also the proposal of the statement that all participants are expected to sign.

Namely, at least three points in the statement are disputable to the leaders from Republika Srpska entity, including the qualification of events in Ukraine, the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also the position towards the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
