Bosnia’s Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic and the Vice-President of the Federation (FBiH) entity Igor Stojanovic are staying in Belgrade to pay their respects to the tragic victims of the elementary school 'Vladislav Ribnikar'.
Konakoviv and Stojanovic wrote in the book of condolences and visited the scene of the tragedy in Belgrade.
“I want to convey a message from Bosnia and Herzegovina that we are with the citizens of Serbia at this moment,” Konakovic said.
Three days of mourning will last in Serbia from Friday until Sunday, and the citizens of BiH will be able to sign the book of mourning in Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Trebinje.
Bosnia’s Council of Ministers passed a Decision declaring a Day of Mourning in the country on Friday, May 5, 2023, due to the tragic death of eight children and one security guard at the elementary school.
“Flags at BiH institutions will be lowered to half-mast, television and radio content, as well as all sports and entertainment events planned for that day, need to be adapted to the Day of Mourning,” the BiH government said.
