Two cars, allegedly belonging to Predrag Nesic and Mladjen Bozovic, the family of leader of the Democratic People's Alliance (DNS) Nenad Nesic, were set on fire Sunday morning in the city of Istocno Sarajevo.
The police only confirmed the incident but unveiled no details about the cars’ owners.
Predrag Nesic, the DNS leader's brother, is also politically active and serves as a delegate in the entity parliament of Republika Srpska, Bosnia's Serb-majority region.
Bozovic is the chief of the cabinet of state minister Milos Lucic, who resigned after being arrested over the suspicion of abuse of office last year.
Speaking to N1, he confirmed the incident, saying that fire spread from Nesic's car to his own.
He briefly said he felt safe and expected the police to do their job.
Nesic only briefly responded to a text message from N1's reporter, saying he was at the premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,
The DNS party issued a statement, strongly condemning the incident and urging the competent authorities to react.
